WebAug 6, 2024 · BC337 is an NPN transistor mainly used for lower power audio amplification and switching purposes. It contains three terminals known as emitter, base, and … WebI am new to transistors and therefore not sure where the problem could be located. I designed a simple circuit to switch an LED on and off using a transistor (NPN, 2N2222A). The base is connected to the ESP32 pin 32 (GPIO set to output).
Putting the GPIO pin behind transistor to get more current
WebAug 23, 2024 · When you switch the GPIO-pin to 0 or alternatively turn on the NPN with a 1, then current will flow. Yes, there is a drop over the output transistor or the collector-emitter of the NPN, but that is in the same order as your drop over the PNP (or even less), and for these low currents it should be negligible. WebSep 30, 2024 · Or at least, I think I might, but my recollection of NPN transistors is that the collector is always set to ground and the switch helps complete the circuit. Like, using an LED on the collector with a 5v supply and using the 3.3v supply on the base, it allow sthe LED to turn on by giving access to ground when turned 'on' by the GPIO. eye deal optical west hempstead ny

WebAug 23, 2024 · Re: Use gpio pins to short circuit other electronic ? Tue Aug 22, 2024 1:27 am. Short circuit may not be the best term to use. Applying a logic low or logic high is a better analogy. While the PC power button does short the two pins, what its most likely doing is puling one pin to ground. Or pulling it high to +5V. WebMar 8, 2016 · Mar 8, 2016 at 17:21. It rather depends on what you mean by "on/off" switch. You can certainly drive the gate/base and control some transistors directly from an output pin. To close a circuit between two arbitrary points you'll need a relay though, and likely a transistor to help drive its coil. WebThe switch controls the negative side of the load. This means that when the switch is open, the load is essentially floating with respect to the negative of the power supply, which is usually the ground reference in most designs. … dodge wc 12 for sale
