WebHow Ground Penetrating Radar Antennas Work and Applications for Each Type. The depth to which ground penetrating radar waves can reach beneath the ground surface is mainly dependent on two conditions: 1) the type of soil or rock in the GPR survey area, and 2) the frequency of the antenna used. WebBy Utility Survey Corp. 07, Dec 2024. For a general question like “How deep can you see with ground penetrating radar (GPR)?”, the answer is usually a range such as “2 to 10 feet” or “up to 18 inches”.
